During lockdown we have seen many of the benefits of working from home, wearing comfy’s all day being a personal favourite, our local businesses have been telling us they are missing the connection of face-to-face discussions, productive planning and workshop sessions. – we hear you loud and clear!
We have worked hard behind the scenes before reopening at the end of June to ensure all of our spaces were ready to welcome guests back safely. Additionally to making changes to ensure our spaces are COVID safe, over the last year we have made some other changes to our Meeting Spaces.
A sustainable future is something that’s both important to us, our staff, tenants and customers. We have therefore adapted many of our facilities to ensure we are sustainable including replacing single use cups with reusable ceramic mugs and introducing more recycling bins.
In a world where many businesses were forced to temporarily close, go digital and adapt to a locked down market, IT budgets have been tightened, whilst the need for video conferencing is on the rise.
We have added additional video conferencing units in our meeting spaces, which is included complimentary in your hire fee and our team are on hand to support with the technical side of things.
Flexibility is really important to us, we want you to be able to use our spaces in the way you need to. However under the current guidance all meeting space chairs have been placed two metres apart regardless of layout and maximum numbers have been reduced. Our team will work with you to agree a suitable layout before your meeting to help you facilitate collaboration.
Complimentary stationery has also been removed but is available upon request.
Catering and Refreshments
Catering is available in the form of ‘lunch bags’. Shared catering platers are currently unavailable. With sustainability and reinvesting in the local economy we only use local caterers, most often one of our Tenants. Each delegate will be provided with their own cup, glass and bottle of water (cups and glasses will be in clear bags to ensure there has been no contamination). Hot drink machines and/or coffee stations will be provided. Face Masks, Sanitiser, wipes and tissues are also provided.
Innovative technology for our meeting space has always been a priority for us. COVID has pushed us to invest in the technology allowing you to remotely connect your laptop to our screens. This means you do not need to touch any cables or equipment to deliver a presentation.
Like our other spaces no matter what the future holds, we will continue to adapt and change our meeting space with a particular focus on:
· Combining aspects of virtual and face-to-face.
· Delivering a first-class customer service and experience.
· Locally sourced catering that is adaptable for a variety of dietary requirements.
· Fixtures, fittings and technology that are unique, flexible and aid collaborative meetings.
