This year, Fraser C Robb celebrates an incredible 50 years in business – a milestone that reflects five decades of hard work, family values, and deep-rooted commitment to the local community.
Founded in 1975 by Fraser and Kate Robb, the business began on the very same site it still occupies today in the heart of Drymen. Just a year after opening, the team exhibited at their first Drymen Show in 1976 – and they’ve proudly taken part in every show since. It’s fitting, then, that their golden anniversary will be celebrated at this year’s event on Saturday 30th May, surrounded by the rural community that has supported them for generations.
From its early days to the present, Fraser C Robb has grown steadily, adapting to new technologies and customer needs. Today, they’re widely recognised for their expertise in ground and garden care equipment, serving both commercial and domestic clients with a strong reputation for quality and reliability.
Still very much a family business, the reins have since passed to Fraser and Kate’s children, Lorna and Struan. Under their leadership, the company continues to grow while remaining true to its founding values – known not only as a dependable service provider, but also as a good employer and an active supporter of local initiatives.
In 2018, the business opened the Drymen Business Hub above its showroom – a flexible space used by community groups, businesses, and support organisations including Business Gateway, whose adviser Simon Orr regularly hosts drop-in sessions for local entrepreneurs and start-ups.
As they celebrate this landmark year, the team at Fraser C Robb is taking a well-earned moment to reflect – and to thank the customers, colleagues, and community members who’ve played a part in their 50-year journey.
