This spring, Country Cycles in Killearn marks a decade of helping locals and visitors discover the joy of life on two wheels. Tucked within Oakwood Garden Centre, the independent bike shop has grown into a thriving hub for cyclists of all levels – from weekend adventurers to serious trail-seekers.
Owned and run by passionate cyclist Keith McLellan, Country Cycles opened its doors in 2014 with a clear vision: to offer expert advice, quality bikes and a warm welcome to anyone keen to explore the stunning landscapes of the surrounding Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park.
Ten years on, the shop continues to thrive, thanks to a loyal customer base and Keith’s down-to-earth, knowledgeable approach. Whether it’s recommending the best local gravel routes, helping someone choose their first e-bike or offering trusted maintenance and repairs, the team has become known for its helpful, no-pressure service.
The shop boasts an impressive range of e-bikes, gravel bikes, and mountain bikes, catering to the growing number of cyclists taking to Scotland’s scenic trails and roads. As interest in active travel and sustainable tourism continues to rise, Country Cycles remains a key player in the region’s cycling landscape.
