A STEP in history: Success for Enterprise House

Throwback Thursday:

One Thursday every month we are taking a look back through STEP’s archives at business successes of the past.

This month we are taking a look back to 1996 when Enterprise House filled its last remaining available offices.

Enterprise House was developed by Stirling District Council and is managed by STEP. The £1.7 million business centre at Stirling Springkerse Park, celebrated the letting of its last available offices back in 1996. Empty at the same time the previous year, it was then home to 22 businesses, 17 of which were new to the Stirling area, including the Press and Journal and Scot-Ads, the advertising publication.

Careers Central Ltd moved into a suite on the ground floor, meaning that Enterprise House had reached full occupancy.

STEP executive director Derek Gavin spoke about the great success for Enterprise House: “It is a notable achievement for Enterprise House to be fully occupied with so many businesses in such a relatively short space if time, especially when you consider that the last 12 months have not been a particularly buoyant time for business.”

Today, Enterprise House continues to be a pillar of business space in Stirling City centre and is home to a variety of businesses.
