STEP’s support events have become the backbone of business learning in Stirling over the last three decades, and throughout 2019 we have teamed up with various partners to deliver a jam-packed programme of events for 2019.
This year we have over 30 networking opportunities and events in and around Stirling planned to help businesses learn better, work harder and create an unrivalled business community.
For SME’s, often attending non-industry specific events can be a drain on time and resources for little output. Therefore, together with partners such as It Is On, Visit Scotland, Booking.com, Expedia, Google and more, we have put together free business events focusing on industry specifics and real solution-based programmes.
One key area of focus in 2019, is to support more Stirling Businesses to become bookable or shoppable online, with a sequence of ‘Stirling’s Online Series’ events, combined with a Let’s Network event. These are in partnership with Forth Valley Chamber and Stirling University Innovation Park.
Now in it’s fifth year, Stirling Business Month 2019 aims to update businesses on Stirling’s economy, city and regional deal plans, infrastructure, help focus their digital strategy with Google led workshops and is also visiting Rural Stirling for a mini conference.
Over the past five years Stirling Business Month has brought over 50 events to more than 1000 business professionals, using STEP’s vast network of partnerships and experts. In the last year, these have varied immensely, from helping businesses to plan for post-Brexit, to developing their marketing plan and hiring.
New to 2019 and following an increase in demand, we are introducing a Tourism Business Month in October. The tourism sector plays an important role in the economy of Stirling and with such a mix of business types, from accommodation to food, drink and leisure, comes its own set of business support needs. The Tourism Business Month consists of events to help food and drink producers meet buyers, crowdfund an idea, innovate with technology and much more.
