Based in the small Hillfoots town of Menstrie, Circular Economy Solutions Limited, established in 2018, is one of Scotland’s most innovative companies dedicated to environmentally sustainable solutions.
Their unique selling point is that the products offered are not only low carbon solutions, but are also lowest cost, hence the tagline “Saving the Planet needn’t cost the Earth™”.
The company is celebrating after having successfully signed a supply framework with Taylor Wimpey.
Director Callum Scott said: “Amongst other recent contract awards, we are delighted to announce that we have recently signed a supply Framework with one of the UK’s largest developers and civil engineering companies, Taylor Wimpey, and supplied, installed and commissioned the first lights under this Framework.”
The first two Prolectric solar streetlights have been installed at Taylor Wimpey’s Maidenhill development site in Newton Mearns. The Prolectric lights are the highest quality solar lighting in the UK and are solely distributed in Scotland by Circular Economy Solutions.
The team at Circular Economy Solutions are currently working with local authorities to combat challenges of standards and specifications which defer to powered lighting.
Director Callum Scott said: “Revision of local authority standards and specifications is a monumental task and will take time, however an interim position of considering alternative proposals may be useful. This would save public money and be better value for money.”
Circular Economy Solutions offer various environmental solutions, but the main business focus is:
· Temporary and Permanent Solar Lighting and Bollards
· Off-grid power systems
· Stormwater management, attenuation, and recycling
