Nominees announced for Forth Valley business awards

Over 20 top businesses have been shortlisted for Forth Valley Chamber of Commerce’s third business awards.

STEP tenant Poporopo is up for Best Start-Up Business. The gourmet popcorn business has had a very successful journey since starting out 18 months ago, gaining stockists throughout Scotland – and also picking up STEP’s first-ever Business Award in 2015.

In with a chance of winning Best Family Business is Killearn-based Three Sisters Bake. The craft boutique and deli is competing against Bonnybridge-based Ecosse Holdings and GMS Music, located in Polmont.

Bridge of Allan based business Angels’ Share Glass are shortlisted for two awards – Best Micro Business, and Most Innovative Product. The team produce unique glassware for whisky lovers, and they have been recognised for creating innovative goods for the past three years. Also fighting for Most Innovative Product or Service award is social enterprise Talking Mats, and InnPac Ltd, which offers ingenious solutions to reduce your packaging costs.

STEP is happy to be sponsoring this year’s Best Small Business Award. In with a chance of winning are deep cleaning professionals Perfect Service Solutions, sweetie-lovers Tilly Confectionary Ltd and Ecosse Holdings.

The Trossachs Search and Rescue team, which has been rescuing people affected by recent flooding, has been nominated for Charity of the Year. This fantastic organisation is currently STEP’s Charity of the Year – so we wish them all the very, very best of luck for this award!

The Forth Valley Chamber of Commerce Awards are taking place on Thursday, March 24th in Dunblane. Speaking on the night will be costume-loving Gregor Lawson from Morphsuits. Since starting out six years ago, the multi-million-pound company has grown from 3 to 30 employees.
