STEP will launch Stirling Business Month at our opening conference on Monday, March 7th.

Hosted by journalist Shereen Nanjiani we will celebrate business excellence and success – and take a look at what Stirling’s future might have in store.

We’ll get Stirling Council’s take on why Stirling is one of the best places to do business. And it’s official! Results of a study carried out by start-up specialists Quality Formations identified Stirling as the best Scottish city to start a new business. Stirling Council Chief Executive Stewart Carruth will take to STEP’s stage to discuss the benefits of doing business here, and explain why businesses are thriving in the Central belt. How might plans to develop affect your business?

To add to the discussion RBS Director of Economics Stephen Boyle will talk about the state of the nation in general, providing an insight into the future of Scotland’s economy. He will also inform spectators about key sectors within Stirling.

We’re also delighted that Tony Stanger will talk about the importance of understanding your people. The former rugby international, who represented Scotland 52 times, will offer tips on how to better understand staff member’s potential, and how to create an environment where everyone can build upon their skills.

Kris Bryson from the Wildhearts Foundation will deliver an exclusive presentation on the charity’s ground-breaking story, from inception to the present day. He will demonstrate how business can be a force for good, and that anybody – regardless of age and perceived barriers to business – can be a successful entrepreneur.

So why choose to locate your office in Stirling?

Renewable energy company Natural Power moved into their Stirling office in January 2014, opening their third branch in Scotland, and their 14th in the world. Commercial Director Richard Walls will explain why they made the move to Stirling, and no doubt teach us a thing or two about the renewables sector.

Deep cleaning specialists Perfect Service Solutions will be on board to tell us about their business journey. Operating from Stirling, Managing Director Simone Hart has big ambitions to make her company the leading kitchen deep cleaning specialists in Scotland.

The owners of start-up company Trossachs Distillery know a thing or two about gin. Dale and Vicky McQueen have recognised how the beverage is taking Scotland by storm, and have created McQueen Gin. They’ll tell us about their plans to begin production in April 2016.

Join us for an unmissable opening conference which will include a panel discussion, Q&A and networking opportunities with speakers and attendees.

Spaces are limited so book your place right here.
