Event Privacy Policy

This policy (together with our terms of useprivacy policy and any other documents referred to on it) sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you will be processed by us when you register online to attend a STEP event. 

By booking to attend an an event,  you consent to the collection retention and use of personal information in accordance with the terms of this policy. 

How we will use your information

The information you provide will be used to process your booking, to provide those who attend with delegate information, to report on popularity of the event. We will also use it to contact you regarding your booking. We may also undertake post-evaluation. 

Eventbrite

We use Eventbrite for event promotion and bookings. Please note that Eventbrite is a third-party service that is not owned or managed by STEP. You should refer to Eventbrite’s terms and conditions of privacy policy as we do not accept any responsibility or liability for their policies.

Sharing of information

Information may be shared with an event partner, if you have agreed to find out more. 

Retention of information

Personal information provided for the purposes of booking to attend an event will be deleted within 5 years, for use in evaluation. However, for certain events you may be asked if you consent to be contacted by STEP or an event partner again.

Access to your information and correction

You have the right to request a copy of the information that we hold about you. If you would like a copy of this information, please contact us marketing@stepscotland.co.uk.

We want to make sure that your information is accurate and up to date. You may also ask us to correct or remove any inaccurate information.
