Thier projects, including a Community Food Project, Tool Library, events schedule, IT refurbishment project and Wood Reuse project, showcase their commitment to sustainability and community engagement. The Stirling Reuse Hub specifically focuses on providing sustainable products, contributing to a circular economy. With a passionate team dedicated to environmental resilience, Transition Stirling makes significant strides towards sustainability.
Upper Ballaird Farm Coop
Upper Ballaird Farm Coop is a community-driven initiative spearheaded by Louise and Philipp, who joined forces in February 2022 with a shared vision of fostering social equity and environmental sustainability. Through their collaborative efforts, Upper Ballaird Farm Coop endeavors to promote a more inclusive and eco-conscious way of living while nurturing a sense of community spirit and environmental responsibility.
2024 Sustainable Inititive of the Year: Myriad Wind Energy Systems
Founded by renewable energy researchers, Myriad Wind Energy Systems is a startup on a mission to revolutionise the wind energy sector with their disruptive innovation: a modular, scalable Multi-Rotor Wind Turbine (MRWT).
The three co-founders of Myriad have collectively dedicated nearly a decade to innovating in wind energy, having first crossed paths in 2017 during their PhD programme at the Wind and Marine Centre for Doctoral Training. Leveraging their diverse expertise and a sharp focus on commercial viability, they seized the opportunity to propel their vision forward through the Conception X startup accelerator programme in 2021.
Since winning the Conception X Accelerator DemoDay, Myriad Wind Energy Systems officially launched in August 2021. The team has been relentless in their pursuit of success, achieving significant milestones along the way. Their award-winning team, now comprising five members, continues to grow as they forge ahead in their endeavours.
