Forth Valley College and the Employer Engagement Forum (EEF) are teaming up for an event that aims to make a real impact. The ‘Moving On’ event, scheduled for February 2024, is a practical initiative designed to support young people with additional support needs in their journey into the workforce. It’s not about lofty ideals; it’s about bringing local businesses on board to make it happen.

A significant 40% of secondary school pupils in Stirling grapple with various forms of additional support needs (ASN). This statistic underscores the pressing need to create opportunities for these young individuals in the job market.
At the heart of the ‘Moving On’ event is the goal of connecting these young people with local businesses. It’s not just talk; it’s a call to action. The event seeks to establish links that can lead to job placements, internships, and work experience, addressing the real problem of unemployment and underemployment.
