STEP is committed to investing in to the building and into supporting tenants and local businesses.
This year has seen a substantial investment back in to the building, we have sub-divided a large unit to create three smaller units so that we can become home to more tenants. We have also replaced some external access doors, fitted new and improved signage, and we are also working on plans for a green room and podcast room that can be hired by tenants and local businesses.
As well as the above investment works and because electricity costs are increasing dramatically – an increase that is out of our hands – we have decided to purchase and install over 500 LED lights in to workshops and offices at STEP.
Laura Melville, Property Manager at STEP said, “It was important to invest in new LED lighting, not only will this improve the units, it will sustain businesses as the improvements will help counteract the severe impact of high electricity costs which some tenants will find very difficult to absorb giving the current climate and what they’ve recently had to endure. LED lights are meant to reduce costs by 40-60% so we feel this is a good investment for the building and for our tenants.”
It is hoped that the installation of LED lights will be rolled out across all STEP sites.
