As STEP marks an impressive 40 years in business, we take great pride in not only our longevity but also in the collaborative partnerships that have blossomed within our business community. One such partnership, featured as part of our special 40th-anniversary video series, showcases our support of our Tenant Circular Communities Scotland. As their landlord, we are honoured to have played a part in their journey since their founding in 2004.
A National Membership Body with a Charitable Spirit
Circular Communities Scotland is more than just a tenant at our Stirling Business Centre site; they are a national membership body and a registered charity committed to serving organisations engaged in reuse, repair, and recycling across Scotland.
Promoting Sustainability and Collaboration
Our journey towards 40 years in business has been guided by a steadfast commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility. Circular Communities Scotland shares these values and actively contributes to our vision of a greener, more sustainable future.
A Collaborative Spirit
Circular Communities Scotland’s impact is not confined to their work; it extends to the collaborative initiatives they have brought to our space. Our partnership exemplifies our responsive approach to tenant suggestions, making it an integral part of our celebration of four decades in business.
Fostering Sustainable Commuting
One noteworthy example of our collaboration with Circular Communities Scotland is the enhancement of cycling facilities within our workspace. We believe in keeping our carbon footprint low, and our environmentally conscious tenants like Circular Communities Scotland are in alignment with this commitment.
In a remarkable twist, one of Circular Communities Scotland’s staff members is an avid cyclist. Recognising the importance of sustainable commuting, they proposed the idea of installing bike storage and showers for those who cycled to work. Their suggestion was met with enthusiasm by our team.
A Responsive Collaboration
Our team is renowned for its responsiveness and dedication to making our spaces as comfortable and sustainable as possible. In the spirit of collaboration, and with support from some funding from Cycling Scotland we swiftly implemented the suggested improvements.
We began by installing secure bike storage facilities, providing cyclists with peace of mind and convenience. Having a designated place to lock up their bikes not only reassured our cyclists but also contributed to the overall sustainability of our workspace.
More recently, we expanded our facilities by adding showers, allowing those who cycle to work to freshen up and stay active. This addition aligns perfectly with our commitment to tenant well-being and environmental consciousness.
A Grateful Partnership
Circular Communities Scotland is an invaluable member of our community, and their proactive engagement reflects our shared commitment to sustainability. We deeply appreciate their ideas and contributions that have made our workspace even more environmentally friendly.
As we look back on four decades in business, we are excited about the potential for continued collaboration with Circular Communities Scotland and other like-minded organisations. Together, we can continue to promote sustainable practices, reduce our carbon footprint, and create a workspace that benefits both our tenants and the planet.
We invite you to watch the accompanying video to hear directly from Circular Communities Scotland about their experience and how our collaborative efforts have made a positive impact on their work and mission.
Join us in celebrating 40 years in business and our journey towards a more sustainable and eco-friendly workspace, where innovation, collaboration, and environmental consciousness go hand in hand.
