This month we are taking a look back to 1990 at the beginning of our Stirling Business Centre.

The million-pound Stirling Business Centre was set for completion in 1991 and would provide high-quality offices for around 40 firms and create more than 100 jobs.
At a site visit by the company’s board of directors, Stirling Convener John Hendry said the centre had already attracted a lot of interest from the business community.
“We have already received a large number of inquiries for office space from the Stirling business community and we expect to attract new businesses’ from Edinburgh and Glasgow where the demand for office space is very high.”
The centre was built by Stirling District Council in partnership with STEP, and Stirling Enterprise and Economic Development Company (SEEDCO).
Mr Hendry also said, “The success of Stirling Enterprise Park over the past five years underlines the need for more office accommodation in Stirling.”
Today Stirling Business Centre remains a pillar of entrepreneurship and business space in Stirling City centre and now consists of 42 offices and two meetings rooms.
