A STEP in history: Enterprise House opens its doors

Throwback Thursday:

One Thursday every month we are taking a look back through STEP’s archives at business successes and stories of the past.

This month we are taking a look back to 1995 when STEP opened Enterprise House.

On 1st October 1995, STEP opened its new premises, a third site of office space. The addition of Enterprise House was prompted by continuing demand for business premises.

On its opening day, Scottish Secretary Michael Forsyth raised a replica of Sir William Wallace’s sword to open Enterprise House. The park sprang from a partnership involving Stirling District Council, Forth Valley Enterprise and developers Walker Group (Scotland Ltd).

The demand for business premises was so high that the site was full within eight months of opening its doors. Today, Enterprise House continues to be a pillar of business space in Stirling City centre and is home to a variety of businesses.

If you would like to let any of our office spaces at Enterprise House please contact lmelville@stepscotland.co.uk.
