Business Gateway Arrives: A Milestone in Support
In 2000, a significant milestone was reached in our journey when Small Business Gateway, known today as Business Gateway, was introduced by Scottish Enterprise. Recognising the potential for growth in providing Business Support services to SMEs across Scotland, a consortium comprising STEP, Falkirk Enterprise Action Trust, and Clackmannanshire Enterprise won the initial three-year contract to deliver Business Support in our area.
Building on our existing business support services at the time, we embraced this new opportunity and continued to offer our expertise under the banner of Business Gateway, a name that still resonates today. Over the years, we have continued to adapt and expand our services, keeping pace with the evolving needs of businesses in our region.
