Commitment: 4-6 meetings annually
Our Non-Executive Board is currently full. However, members are up for renewal every two years so should you wish to be considered in the future get in touch.
Our mission is to ensure the businesses of Stirling and the wider Forth Valley are supported to start-up, develop and grow and we are looking to add further experience and insight to our Board to help us ensure that we deliver exactly what local businesses need.
About us
STEP has been supporting businesses for over three decades. When we started in 1983 we wanted to build more than just an office block, business park or commercial property. We wanted to build a community of businesses where companies could start, grow and lean on each other in a supportive environment. Today we support 3,000 businesses on average per year and manage over 200 spaces across 5 sites. All our profits are invested back into business support activities and delivering services that have a positive impact on the local economy.
What you’ll do at STEP
As a Non-Executive Director, you will join our Board to support existing members and the Leadership team in shaping and delivering the overall vision and objectives of STEP. You will need to think beyond the numbers and use your knowledge and experience to help shape the strategic direction of the business bringing passion, positivity and creativity to the Boardroom.
Who we're looking for
We are looking for someone from Central Scotland (Falkirk, Stirling, Clackmannanshire) who will always put the company’s interests first, will care about supporting and growing the local economy and who will bring passion, acumen and experience to the Boardroom whilst positively supporting the executive team. We are a close-knit, driven team that cares deeply about delivering the best business support in the Forth Valley area. Therefore, it is important that the person who joins our board is keen to get to know our people and can invest their time and experience in playing an active role on our board.
