Rural Forum

The Rural Business Forum was founded by STEP.

The Rural Forum plays a crucial role in shaping the rural business support available in the Stirling and wider Forth Valley area.

43% of Stirling’s businesses are located in rural areas.

We understand that you are faced with your own unique business challenges. That’s why we ensure that businesses like yours are kept informed, able to participate and benefit from existing support programs available.

Whether you have a question about making the most of new and emerging technologies in rural areas, enhancing innovation, creating business and job opportunities, ensuring that rural communities are attractive to a workforce it needs, enabling the transition of rural areas to a low carbon economy or something else the rural forum is your opportunity to join other business and specialised rural support companies to discuss.

About the Fourm

At each meeting, a panel of experts will introduce themself and what support their company offers, then we will take questions/discussion points from the audience.

We want to hear from you about your needs, challenges and asks as a rural business, so we will discuss and listen to your needs to help shape future available support.

Agenda

The agenda at each meeting will be:

  • Welcome from STEP.
  • Panellist introductions.
  • Panel Q&A and Discussion.
