As your local business support organisation, STEP provides unrivalled support and advice to businesses in the central belt. Our passionate professionals offer quality advice and expertise so you can improve your skills and develop your offering. We want to see you and your business grow.

STEP is a non-profit making organisation, so all profits that are made are reinvested into the local economy. Whilst we have a large local remit, including providing the Business Gateway contract for Stirling, we also deliver national training programmes that take us all over Scotland.

Our services are designed to meet the needs of businesses and individuals, providing expert support to enable and activate their business aspirations.

Stirling has been voted the number one place in Scotland to start a new business. And with a business survival rate of 94%, this is well above the Scottish average. Stirling also has the highest percentage of employees who are managers, directors and senior officials in Scotland (13.4%). Centrally located between Edinburgh and Glasgow, 3 million people live within an hour’s drive of Stirling.
